This card gives you a strong 5% cashback on selected spending categories like flights, hotels, dining, shopping (in-person & online), food deliveries, entertainment and foreign currencies (overseas & online), when spending at least S$500 and up to S$1,600 per calendar month.

But oldies beware, this card is only available to those aged 21 to 39 years old.

Qualifying transactions:
Only whitelisted Merchant Category Codes (MCCs) for each spending category qualify for the bonus earn rate. Unsure about the MCC? Check before making the payment.

However, if you’re spending in a foreign currency, it doesn’t matter what the MCC is, provided it doesn’t fall under the general exclusions stated in the t&c. What’s great is that typically-excluded spending categories like Medical and Education qualify for 5% cashback, when paying in a foreign currency.

All other transactions earn just 0.2% cashback (uncapped).

Cardholders can reduce the foreign currency fee by about 1% by pairing this card to Amaze. IMPORTANT: Only do this for the non-foreign currency bonus categories (flights, hotels, dining etc.) made in foreign currency (not SGD).

This card does not come with any foreign transaction fees and awards the following uncapped cashback on foreign transactions (until 31 Dec 2027):

1. China & Europe (and Australia from 1 Jan 2027): 0.5% cashback

Cardholders can also get up to 6.4% cashback on the following categories, when spending at least S$800 on the card in a statement month:

1. Local Online (SGD), Mobile Contactless (Google Pay, Apple Pay)
2. Selected Gym, Telco and Streaming

Although UOB advertises “up to 10% cashback”, the cashback amount is capped at S$30 for the first category (S$300 worth of spending), and S$20 for the second category (S$200 worth of spending). And unfortunately, “other” spending only earns 0.3% cashback.

In other words, after spending S$300 + S$200 on the bonus categories, cardholders will need to spend at least S$300 more to meet the minimum spend of S$800, and earn just 0.3% cashback on that amount. In this best-case scenario where you spend the exact amounts, you’d receive 6.4% cashback.

This card’s key feature is foreign currency spending (no FX fees + uncapped 0.5-1% cashback with no min. spend), and since it’s not connected to the confusing and misleading “10% cashback” benefit, you can (and probably should) safely ignore the latter.
