Enjoyed KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes deals for Singapore Airlines flights? KrisFlyer members can also redeem 15% fewer miles on selected Scoot flights in Aug 2026 when booked by 31 Jul 2026.
This complete guide provides the full list in easy-to-read tables, our top recommendations and an interactive route map to visualise every destination.
What is Scoot?
Scoot is a low-cost budget airline and a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines. As with other budget airlines, benefits such as in-flight meals, checked baggage, wifi and in-flight entertainment are not automatically included when flying on Scoot.
Here are my top picks for this month’s edition of Scoot Spontaneous Escapes:
Belitung: 2,125 miles
Phuket: 2,125 miles
Haikou, Hong Kong, Macau: 5,525 miles
Perth: 5,525 miles
Taipei: 5,525 miles
Melbourne, Sydney: 10,625 miles
Seoul, Jeju: 10,625 miles
Tokyo, Okinawa: 10,625 miles
Is it worth redeeming KrisFlyer miles for Scoot?
As covered in my deep-dive article, redeeming KrisFlyer miles for Scoot is not always worth it, as air ticket prices on budget airlines tend to be low in the first place. On top of that, when redeeming miles for Scoot flights, you’ll still have to pay airport taxes/fees.
Earning miles through credit cards is now more difficult than ever; where possible, I’m sure most miles chasers wouldn’t wanna waste all that effort on Scoot flights. That said, there are several valid reasons to redeem miles on Scoot. For example, Scoot flies to a number of cities that are not covered by Singapore Airlines (or other full-service airlines).

I’ve prepared the following calculator for you to easily check if redeeming KrisFlyer miles for a Scoot flight is more worth it than paying the cash fare.

✍️ Short summary
This card gives you a strong earn rate of 4 miles per dollar on two categories:
Overseas (incl. online in foreign currencies)
Local Contactless (e.g. PayWave, Google Pay, Apple Pay), SimplyGo (bus/mrt), Fuel (excl. SPC, Shell)
To receive the bonus earn rate, a minimum spending of S$1,000 per statement month is required on that particular category, with a category cap of S$1,200 in the same period. You may also enjoy the bonus earn rate on just 1 category in any statement period.
These categories offers broad coverage on spendings like shopping (in-person and online), foreign currency (in-person and online), dining, groceries, flights, hotels, food delivery and ride-hailing.
However, the huge catch is the minimum spending amount that has to be met on that particular bonus category (not general card spend like other cards). For example, if you want to earn 4 mpd on foreign currency spending, you have to spend at least S$1,000 per statement month on foreign currencies.
All other spending earn just 0.4 mpd (uncapped).

At the moment, OCBC only has 2 transfer partners with decent transfer ratios; KrisFlyer and Flying Blue. As flexibility is very important in the Miles Game, I recommend maximizing the limits of other 4 mpd cards first, before using this one.
