Frequently asked questions

CardUp shared the following frequently asked questions (FAQs) regarding this change:

How will the pricing update affect my scheduled payments?

Here is how the transition will work based on your payment dates and setup:
Before vs. After 13 June: Any payment processed before 13 June 2026 will be charged at your existing fees. Transactions charged on or after 13 June 2026 will automatically reflect the updated fees.
Payments with existing promo codes: If your schedule (e.g., your monthly rent payment) was set up using an eligible old promo code like RENT183, our system will automatically transition it to the new, equivalent promo code.
Payments without Promo Codes: Existing schedules that were not set up with a promotional code will not be automatically updated with new promotional pricing. You will need to manually apply any newly available promo codes via your dashboard.
You have full flexibility to adjust your scheduled payments via your dashboard anytime before 8 June 2026, 11 PM SGT.

Where can I view my updated applicable fee?

Your updated applicable fee will be reflected in the CardUp fee column on your payment dashboard once the payment has been set up. You may also view the revised pricing before confirming your payment on the Review Page, closer to the effective date.

What rate applies if I schedule a payment before 13 June, but it processes after that date?

The fee is determined by the due date of the payment, not when you create/schedule the payment. Any payment due on or after 13 June 2026 will automatically be processed at the new revised rate.

Will I be notified before my scheduled payment is charged at the new rate?

We informed all customers about the pricing update via email (for users subscribed to marketing updates) and in-app notifications on 13 May 2026.

If you signed up after this date or unsubscribed from marketing emails, you may not have received these updates.

Scheduled payments will continue to be processed automatically at the updated fees. No additional reminder will be sent before each charge.

You can review the applicable fee for each upcoming payment in your “Scheduled Payments” section.

Can I still use the existing promo codes?

You can continue using our existing promotional codes for payments charged before 13 June 2026.

From 13 June 2026 onwards, new promotional codes will apply under the updated pricing structure. These new promo codes will be shared closer to the effective date.

To better understand the impact of this change on your existing scheduled payments, please refer to Question 6.

Do the revised prices impact all card networks?

The revised pricing mainly affects card payments, where processing costs have increased. Certain card networks or reward card categories may see different pricing adjustments. Refer to the revised pricing table at Questions 5.

Will I still earn credit card rewards after the fee revision?

You will continue to earn credit card rewards, miles, cash-back, or points on eligible payments, depending on your card issuer’s terms and conditions.

For more information on supported or recommended cards, you may refer to our FAQ page:

Is my spend on CardUp eligible for credit card rewards? | CardUp Help Center

Is there a change to the International Card fee?

No, the CardUp fee for international cards remains unchanged at 3.3%.

Will there be any promotional fees or waivers available?

We may continue to offer promotional fees, fee waivers, or campaign-based from time to time.

These promotions are not guaranteed and will be subject to eligibility, campaign terms, and availability during each promotional period.

I’m a long-term customer; can my current rate be retained?

A: We genuinely appreciate your loyalty and support. However, the revised pricing will apply to all customers as it reflects increased payment processing costs. This change helps us continue providing a secure and reliable service while maintaining the benefits and flexibility that CardUp offers.

Why are some promo codes no longer available?

Existing promo arrangements may be revised or retired as part of the updated pricing structure to reflect the latest processing costs.

Are there any changes to the product or services?

No. Customers can continue using the platform as usual, including making recurring payments and collecting payments, scheduling features, and supported payment categories.

Non-CardUp Account payors (Guest Payors)

Due to rising card processing costs, including increases in interchange and card network fees, we are revising our service fees. This allows us to continue providing a secure, reliable and rewarding payment experience while supporting card payments sustainably over the long term.

Refer to the revised prices at Question 5.

Do I need to do anything?

No action is required if you wish to continue using CardUp under the revised pricing.
If you would like to review, modify or cancel any upcoming scheduled payments, please do so before the stated deadline through your CardUp dashboard.
