IHG One Rewards has announced its upcoming global promotion, in which members can earn up to 2,000 additional points per night. Registration is now open.
This promo is pretty much identical to the previous edition that ran from May to Aug 2025.

Is this a good promotion?
Fixed-point promotions like these are more rewarding on cheaper stays, as the bonus points are earned based on the number of nights stayed, regardless of how much you spend at the property.
At my valuation of 0.5 cents (USD) per IHG point, you’d receive US$5 or US$10 in additional value per night (depending on which promo you register for) during the promo period.

Here are the terms and conditions of this IHG promo:
This promotional offer (the “Promotion”) gives IHG One Rewards members the opportunity to choose one of two different offers for earning IHG One Rewards bonus points. To participate in the Promotion, an individual must have an active, valid IHG One Rewards member account, must be a resident of only North America, Central America, South America, the Caribbean or a country in the Middle East, Europe, Africa or Asia, excluding China, Hong Kong, Macau and Tawain, and must first register their member number for one of two available offers: (1) the “Earn 2,000 points every 2 nights” offer (the “2,000 Points Offer”); or (2) the “Earn 8,000 points every 4 nights” offer (the “8,000 Points Offer”). If a member has registered for the 2,000 Points Offer, the member can earn 2,000 IHG One Rewards bonus points each time they complete two (2) Qualifying Room Nights during the Promotion Period (defined below), with unlimited earning ability.
