Latest Cathay Pacific Asia Miles Award Charts (Hidden)

Cathay Pacific Asia Miles has a page on its website titled “Flight awards charts”; however, it doesn’t publish the key award charts that most members would look for when making a miles redemption.

These are:

  1. Miles required for Cathay Pacific-operated flights
  2. Miles required for flights operated by Cathay Pacific’s partner airlines

I’m publishing this guide for myself and everyone’s easy reference. These updated award charts take into account the most recent Asia Miles award changes/devaluation that took effect on 1 May 2026.

Distance-based award charts

Note that Asia Miles award charts are distance-based (not zonal like KrisFlyer’s).

On distance-based award charts, travel hackers look for routes that are close to the distance limits of each band.

As shown below, a mere 163 miles difference in distance causes the award rate to increase by over 200%!

How to check route distance?

There are a number of great circle mappers that you can use to calculate the total flight distance. The popular (and free) ones are seats.aero and gcmap.com.

Just remember to include layovers in your distance calculations (e.g. use SIN-HKG-ICN for Cathay Pacific flights from Singapore to Seoul).

Award chart for oneworld multi-carrier

This chart is officially shared on the Asia Miles award chart page, but I’ll leave it here together with the other 2 useful ones above.

Refer to this chart to check if you are redeeming a round-trip award ticket with an itinerary that covers:

  • Two oneworld alliance airlines (if Cathay Pacific is not one of your selected carriers) or
  • Three or more oneworld alliance airlines (if Cathay Pacific is one of your selected carriers)

You can choose from all oneworld alliance airlines in your journey, with a maximum distance of 50,000 miles.
