Effective from 20 May 2026, the UOB points (UNI$) to Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer auto-conversion programme will be discontinued.

UOB has stopped accepting new enrolment for the programme from 20 Apr 2026.

Was auto-conversion a good feature?

As shown in the table above, cardholders who convert UNI$ to KrisFlyer miles at least twice a year can save some money through this program. But at what cost? It makes UOB’s already inflexible points even more inflexible.

If you use UOB UNI$ only for KrisFlyer conversions and don’t mind the inflexible monthly conversion cycles, shortened expiry term and parking a minimum balance of 30,000 miles forever, this program could be useful to you.

Otherwise, the program was honestly quite a joke.

What if you’ve already paid for the program?

UOB cardholders who paid for the program in the 13-month period between May 2025 and May 2026 will receive a full refund of the S$50 admin fee, which will be credited to the credit card enrolled in the program, by 31 Jul 2026.
