UPDATE 11:55pm, 26 Mar 2026: Some Saver awards are reappearing in the search results.
UPDATE 9:45am, 27 Mar 2026: Saver award availability looks to be fully restored.
As brought up by @michael21098 in Suitesmile Chat this evening, Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer seems to have emptied out most of its Saver award inventory.
KrisFlyer Saver award check
It looks like most Saver awards across all Singapore Airlines cabin classes are now gone.
✍️ KrisFlyer Award Charts: Saver, Advantage & Access (Hidden)
Economy Class
It doesn’t look good even in Economy Class. Saver award availability to/from Kuala Lumpur is usually very good, especially 355 days ahead, when KrisFlyer usually makes award seats available for booking.
As shown in the screenshot below, all Economy Class flights to Kuala Lumpur are now bookable with Advantage or Access rates only.

Business Class
Browsing through the next 355 days on singaporeair.com, I could only find Business Class Saver awards to less popular redemption destinations in Southeast Asia (e.g. Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok) and certain cities in South Asia.
I could find some Saver award availability to Kuala Lumpur a year ahead, but only on 1 out of 8 flights.

Could this be related to rising jet fuel prices?
Unlike many other airlines, Singapore Airlines does not include fuel surcharges in their air fares. This also means that there are no fuel surcharges on Singapore Airlines award tickets, even when booked through frequent flyer programs other than KrisFlyer.
With many airlines starting to increase fuel surcharges due to the situation in the Middle East, it may be more complicated for Singapore Airlines to do so, and temporarily removing all Saver awards may be a quick way to cushion the impact of rising jet fuel prices.
Or…it could just be a glitch. Although that would be odd as not all Saver awards are gone. I’ll share more updates on this matter when I receive them; stay subscribed to Suitesmile on Telegram to receive an alert.
Cathay Pacific fuel surcharge hike
Cathay Pacific announced a fuel surcharge hike today, which will come into effect in a few days’ time, from 1 Apr 2026. This is due to rising jet fuel prices, which have more than doubled since Feb 2026.
Cathay Pacific fuel surcharges for short-haul flights will be HKD 389 (S$64), medium-haul flights HKD 725 (S$119) and long-haul flights HKD 1,560 (S$256).
