With the latest KrisFlyer devaluation, award rates for booking Singapore Airlines award seats with KrisFlyer miles have changed, mostly for the worse. In this page, I’ve consolidated the 2 published KrisFlyer award charts as well as a “hidden” one for the new KrisFlyer Access dynamic award rates.

Differences in KrisFlyer Award Types
KrisFlyer offers 4 award types for miles redemptions on Singapore Airlines-operated flights.
- Promo
No award chart, usually a discount off the Saver rate (e.g. 30% off during Spontaneous Escapes, 20% off during award sales). Lowest award rates, more ticket restrictions, the fewest award seats released per flight, best value. - Saver
Fixed award rates as displayed in the Saver award chart. Low award rates, decent ticket flexibility, fewer award seats released per flight, good value. - Advantage
Fixed award rates as displayed in the Advantage award chart. High award rates, good ticket flexibility, more award seats released per flight, bad value. - Access
No official award chart, dynamic award rates on some cabin classes. Highest award rates, good ticket flexibility, most award seats released per flight, terrible value.
Award rates, value, award availability and ticket flexibility vary according to the route and travel dates searched, but here’s a general comparison of each KrisFlyer award type:
| Award Type | Award Rates | Value | Award Availability | Ticket Flexibility |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Promo (Spontaneous Escapes) | $ | |||
| Saver | $$ | |||
| Advantage | $$$ | |||
| Access | $$$$$ |
And here’s a deeper look into the flexibility and inclusions of the 4 KrisFlyer award types for a Business Class award ticket:

KrisFlyer Saver Award Chart
Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer members can make award redemptions at ‘Saver’ rates, the lowest available all year. Saver award rates are fixed and are available for booking up to 355 days ahead.
KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes promos, usually bookable about a month before eligible travel dates, are usually discounted by 30%, off these Saver rates.
As a travel hacker, a Saver rate is what you should aim to book every single time, with miles earned from the best miles credit cards (with 4 mpd earn rates).

KrisFlyer Advantage Award Chart
KrisFlyer members can make award redemptions at ‘Advantage’ rates, which are substantially higher than Saver rates. Advantage award rates are also fixed and are available for booking up to 355 days ahead.
⚠️ As a reminder, Premium Economy award seats are not bookable at Advantage rates.

KrisFlyer Access Award Chart (Hidden)
From 1 Nov 2025, KrisFlyer members could make award redemptions at ‘Access’ rates that go much, much higher than Advantage rates. Access award rates are dynamic and are available for booking up to 355 days ahead.
While there isn’t an officially-published KrisFlyer Access award chart, it’s not difficult to figure out the award rates that are available for each zone as they are tied to fixed, predefined levels; a little like how each Marriott Bonvoy property falls within a hidden category with minimum/maximum award rates.
I’ve found just 1 Access rate for Economy Class, 2 for Premium Economy, 4 for Business and 1 for First.
🤔 Should you consider KrisFlyer Access rates?
While KrisFlyer Access provides better award availability (up till the last seat), the award rates undoubtedly offer terrible value for your miles and self-funded travellers should stay away from them.
However, if you’re one who charges large amounts of business expenses to personal credit cards (and claim the expenditures later in cash), the free miles are likely not worth a lot to you. In this case, it’s probably okay to redeem your miles for low-value Access rates as you should use them somehow; just don’t go around telling people that you’re travel hacking 😒 (I’m obviously jealous of you).
Disclaimer: These KrisFlyer Access award rates are accurate as of the time of this article. Like all other frequent flyer programs with dynamic award pricing, I expect KrisFlyer to change these rates quietly in future, as there’s no official Access award chart. Drop me a message if you spot a change!
