Citi PayAll Promo: Make Payments To Buy Miles From 1.25 Cents Each

For a limited time, Citi PayAll is offering cash rebates for payments made through the facility.

What is Citi PayAll?

Citi PayAll is a payment facility offered by Citibank Singapore. Citi cardholders can use it to pay rent, insurance premiums, taxes, school fees and more.

Cardholders can earn miles/points for the payments made, but will be charged a small fee.

Because of this fee, cardholders will be paying a little more than their actual expense, in order to earn miles. Hence, when using Citi PayAll, cardholders are essentially “buying” miles, and importantly, with conditions (unlike UOB Payment Facility, this is not a no-questions-asked method of buying miles).

Eligible cards and earn rates

For the first time, all 4 eligible cards (listed below) will have different earn rates in this Citi PayAll promo.

Note: While the Citi Rewards card is a must-have miles card, it should not be used for this promo as the cost per mile with a 0.4 mpd earn rate is pretty horrible.

How is “cost per mile” calculated?

This is best explained with an example: Say you have a S$10,000 bill that you plan to pay through Citi PayAll, using the Citi PremierMiles Card:

Bill AmountS$10,000
Citi PayAll FeeS$210
(2.1% fee)
Total PayAll PaymentS$10,210
Total Miles Collected12,000
(S$10,000 * 1.2 mpd)
Cost per MileS$0.0175
(S$210 fee / 12,000 miles)

Best ways to use Citi Miles/Points

Miles/Points earned from Citi cards are ultra-flexible! As mentioned above, miles/points earned on 3 of the 4 eligible cards do not expire, and they can be transferred to many frequent flyer programs.

Bottom line

Citi PayAll is running a good offer for cardholders to “buy miles” from 1.25 cents each, when making payments through the facility. Realistically though, most readers will probably buy miles at 1.62 to 1.75 cents each through Citi PremierMiles or Citi Prestige cards and making payments other than Citi insurance premiums.

While this is not a no-questions-asked method to buy miles, the facility does cover a huge range of qualifying spending categories.

Keep in mind that the cash rebate will only be credited in May 2026.
