SG60 Deal Preview: KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes special, Scoot’s bonus accrual

Singapore Airlines Group will run an SG60 flash deal for Spontaneous Escapes and Scoot bookings in August 2025.

Spontaneous Escapes Flash Deal

As announced in Singapore Airlines press release earlier this year, KrisFlyer members will be able to enjoy “additional discounts” on Spontaneous Escapes routes during a 60-hour flash deal, from 12pm on 15 Aug till 11.59am on 17 Aug 2025.

It is unclear how big this award discount will be, but logically, it has to be above the usual 30%-off, and at best, a 60% discount to mark Singapore’s 60 years of independence.

60% bonus miles on Scoot flights

From 12pm on 15 Aug to 11.59pm on 17 Aug 2025 as well, KrisFlyer members can earn 60% bonus miles on Scoot flights booked during the period. The travel period is unclear at the moment, but I’ll share it in another article when the full details are out.

Scoot passengers normally earn 1 KrisFlyer mile for every S$1 spent on Scoot. This includes base fares and add-ons, but excludes any taxes/fees.

As compared to other Scoot deals that I’ve shared, this 60% bonus accrual is hardly exciting on already-low earn rates, on low budget airline fares, so, I wouldn’t be rushing to book Scoot flights during the promo period. Booking a S$500 Scoot flight (with no add-ons) during the flash sale will get you 800 miles, instead of 500.
