MariBank has introduced yet another useful card to the Singapore market, the Mari Debit Card.

Here are the evergreen features of the Mari Debit Card:
- No annual fee
- No income requirement
- Mari Savings account required (free)
- Card transactions automatically deducted from Mari Savings account
- No cashback (only during promo)
- 3% foreign currency fee (avoid fee during promo)

Unlimited 0.5% cashback on SGD spending
From 15 Jul till 31 Dec 2025, Mari Debit cardholders can receive an unlimited 0.5% cashback on SGD spending, subject to usual exclusions.
This isn’t as good as the 1.7% unlimited cashback offered by the Mari Credit Card, but this Debit version is accessible to those who doesn’t meet the S$30k annual income requirement (incl. students, retirees).
Here are the terms and conditions of the 0.5% cashback promo:
Mari_Debit_Card_Cashback_Promotion_Terms_and_Conditions_15072025Up to 1.5% cashback on Foreign Currency spending
From 15 Jul till 31 Dec 2025, Mari Debit cardholders can receive 1 to 1.5% cashback on foreign currency spending. This is a similar offer to the Credit card edition.
Warning: MariBank markets this promo as “up to 4.5% cashback”, but in reality, 3% of that cashback is cancelled out by the 3% foreign currency junk fee.
Here are the key promo terms:
- Offer period: 15 Jul till 31 Dec 2025
- Qualifying transactions: Overseas in-person, online or Google Pay/Apple Pay
- Bonus cashback tiers:
- Get 1% cashback on foreign currency spending under S$1,000 per calendar month
- Get 1.5% cashback on foreign currency spending when you spend above S$1,000 per calendar month (capped at S$1,500 spending)
- Cashback cap: S$22.50 per calendar month (max. S$1,500 spending per month)
- Zero FX fee: Bonus cashback is on top of the 3% cashback offered for foreign currency spending, which is cancelled out by the 3% FX fee on this card
- Cashback will be credited by the end of the calendar month after the qualifying month
- When determining total spending for the month, MariBank looks at your transaction date
Here are the terms and conditions of the foreign currency promo:

As mentioned above, the Mari Debit Card is currently only available to Mari Savings Account holders. New account holders will receive their Mari Debit Card automatically, while existing account holders can request for one by following these steps:
- Log in to your MariBank app
- Tap on Card on the home screen
- Tap on Mari Debit Card
- Tap on Get Debit Card Now
As an existing savings account holder who is also holding the Mari Credit Card, I don’t see any option to get the Debit card; not that I need it though, as the Credit Card version is already one of the best General Spending cards in Singapore and a part of my credit card strategy for 2025.

Is the Mari Savings account good?
Mari Savings Account is a rewarding, stress-free savings account that I’ve been actively using for about a year.
Here are its key features:
- No monthly/annual fee
- No fall-below fee
- High interest paid daily (1.88% p.a.), up to S$100k (no lock-in period and conditions)
- SDIC-insured up to S$100k
Should you get the Mari Debit Card?
If you’re a student, retiree, in-between jobs or a YouTrip cardholder, this card is awesome, but only until 31 Dec 2025 (when the promo is scheduled to end). Unfortunately, MariBank is still charging a 3% junk fee on foreign currency spending, perhaps to make their FX promos look prettier with a higher cashback amount.
