UOB Visa Signature card has announced upcoming changes to how cardholders earn miles on the card via 2 redefined bonus categories.
Cardholders can enjoy the bonus earn rate in categories 1 and/or 2 (pick one or both).
Category 1: Earn 4 mpd on Foreign Currency spending
For card statements generated on or after 1 Sep 2025, here’s how you can earn 4 mpd on Foreign Currency and Overseas transactions:
- Eligible transactions: Foreign Currency spending processed overseas (can be online or in-person)
- Min. category spend: S$1,000 per statement month
- Max. category spend: S$1,200 per statement month
- No change: Foreign currency junk fee still 3.25%

Category 2: Earn 4 mpd on Local Contactless, SimplyGo, Fuel spending
For card statements generated on or after 1 Sep 2025, here’s how you can earn 4 mpd on Contactless, Public Transport and Fuel transactions made in Singapore Dollars:
- Eligible transactions (SGD, processed in Singapore):
- Local Contactless (e.g. PayWave, Google Pay, Apple Pay)
- Public Transport (SimplyGo)
- Fuel (excl. SPC, Shell)
- Min. category spend: S$1,000 per statement month
- Max. category spend: S$1,200 per statement month
Note: SimplyGo transactions are combined and charge to the card at the end of the month, making the $5 earning block less of an issue.
