Is this a good deal?

The bar for a good card for foreign currency spending is currently set by the Trust Cashback card, which offers zero FX fee + 1% unlimited cashback as an evergreen card benefit. But with this Mari Card promo, the bar is slightly raised to 1.5% cashback, but only when accumulating S$1,000 to S$1,500 of foreign currency spending per month.

As a reminder, Mari credit card is one of only 3 useful credit cards in Singapore that has zero annual fees.

This deal should give you even fewer reasons to use a miles card for foreign currency spending, other than:

  • Amaze + Citi Rewards

Mari Credit Card is also offering $30 cashback as a sign-up bonus, with a minimum spending of $300 within 30 days from card approval date. This offer runs from 1 Feb till 31 Dec 2025. Read the terms and conditions here.

I’ve also been a Mari savings account customer for a few months now, as I like the fuss-free high interest rates (credited daily) on an SDIC-insured deposit account.
