Is this a good deal?
This promo is nowhere near as good as last year’s. Here’s why:
- Only in-person spending at Australia, Japan, Malaysia and Thailand counts
- Cardholders need to spend min. S$2,000 per month to unlock the 5 mpd earn rate, but only rewarded on the first S$1,200 of spending per month, which means that cardholders will only earn 1.3 or 2.2 mpd on at least S$800 worth of spending (e.g. Spending exactly S$2,000 at eligible country gives you an effective earn rate of 3.88 mpd at best)
- A 3.25% FX fee means that you’d be paying for those miles
