Great Deal: Roundtrip Johor Bahru to Taipei in Malaysia Airlines Business Class for S$529

Member Miku from Suitesmile Chat shared a great Malaysia Airlines Business Class promo fare from Kuala Lumpur to Taipei. Kai Jin later shared that a similar fare is bookable from Johor Bahru, making this deal very attractive for Singapore-based travellers.

This promo fare is part of the airline’s Matta Fair, which ends on 28 Apr 2025.

Johor Bahru to Taipei and Hong Kong for S$529

Travellers can browse air fares easily through the map/calendar view on Google Flights, before replicating the search on malaysiaairlines.com and completing the booking. The lowest fare available through the airline’s website is MYR 1,990 (S$592).

However, you can find a lower fare of S$548.70 on sg.trip.com. And if you change your location to Australia, you’ll see an even lower fare of S$529.30. Of course, this is fare can be lowered even further with trip.com’s promo codes, if any.

Fares can be found very easily from May 2025 till Jan 2026 and flights to Hong Kong are similarly priced.

Update: Fly roundtrip to the Maldives for a similar price, or one way for just S$166 (H/T: Stephan in Suitesmile Chat).

Note: All Malaysia Airlines flights from Johor Bahru require a layover in Kuala Lumpur. Take note of the transit durations before confirming your booking.
