Is TBAC useful for Singapore-based travellers?
The British Airways Club (TBAC) uses Avios as its miles currency, like other FFPs in the Avios family like Qatar Privilege Club and Finnair Plus.
While most Singapore-based travellers are probably not interested in earning a spend-based frequent flyer status through TBAC, it’s useful for award bookings to/from Singapore and around the world.
Avios is very useful for Singapore-based travellers, mainly for the following reasons:
- Easy to accumulate:
- Credit card transfer partner in Singapore
- Boost earned/transferred credit card miles for cheap
- Subscribe to buy miles at a good price
- Frequent Avios sales at good prices
- Cheap to redeem:
- Regular transfer bonuses
- Great award rates to/from Europe
- Generous expiry term:
- Avios do not expire as long as there’s at least 1 account activity every 3 years
- Avios sharing:
- Combine Avios with family and friends easily (and for free) with a Household Account
- High quality products:
- Redeem Avios for Business/First Class seats on great airlines like Qatar Airways, Cathay Pacific, Finnair and Japan Airlines
