Effective immediately, Air France-KLM Flying Blue has hiked the minimum award rates on most routes.
How are Singapore-based travellers affected?
Flying Blue does not have an award chart, as it adopts dynamic pricing. However, it has a minimum award rate for each route.
For a long time, Flying Blue has had the lowest award rate for Economy Class flights between Singapore and Europe (25k miles). With the mild hike, it will be slightly-higher than what Asia Miles require, with about half the taxes/fees.

Here’s a quick comparison of the previous and current award rates, for flights between Singapore and Europe:
| Route (to/from Singapore) | Class | Award Rate (previous) | Award Rate (now) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Europe | Economy | from 25k | from 30k |
| Europe | Premium Economy | from 40k | from 50k |
| Europe | Business | from 70k | from 85k |
Is this a bad devaluation?
An award devaluation is always disappointing, but it’s important to note that even with this devaluation, Flying Blue’s award rates across all classes remain highly-competitive against what other FFPs charge for flights to/from Europe.
Fly to Europe for less than 20k miles
Singapore is part of Flying Blue’s Promo Rewards for January 2025.
With this devaluation, Singapore-based travellers have one final chance (ever?) to fly to Europe for just 18,750 miles. This applies to tickets booked by 31 Jan 2025, for flights up till 30 Jun 2025.
