As the year draws to a close, let’s reflect on the top travel hacks and deals shared across Suitesmile’s channels. In 2024, with the pandemic firmly behind us, it’s been amazing to see air fares holding steady despite inflation; practically back to pre-pandemic levels!
10) S$700 worth of vouchers with a new credit card
In August 2024, new credit cardholders of Citibank, HSBC and Standard Chartered could receive S$700 worth of Shopee/Grab/Amazon vouchers after spending just S$500 on the card within 30 days.
This was a superb deal, as everyone shouldn’t have trouble utilizing the vouchers at those merchants; it’s almost as good as cash!
9) Roundtrip Singapore to Seoul on T’way for S$299
I shared this last-minute deal to fly roundtrip to Seoul on T’way Air.
It’s not as good as last year’s deal, but it’s always awesome to see sub-$300 flights to South Korea with checked baggage included!
8) Roundtrip Singapore to Beijing on Cathay Pacific for S$274, get 1,111 miles
Cathay Pacific ran an 11.11 deal, offering 22% off flights from Singapore to China, Japan and South Korea.
A great opportunity to fly roundtrip to the following cities, with checked baggage and meals included:
Beijing: S$274
Seoul: S$450
Tokyo: S$507
The fare to Beijing was 25% cheaper than what SQ offered during the Time to Fly sale!
To make the deal even sweeter, the airline threw in 1,111 bonus miles (worth S$17) per booking.
7) Roundtrip Singapore to London on Singapore Airlines Business Class for S$2,300
In Feb 2024, I shared an error fare where travellers can book roundtrip SQ Business Class flights to Europe for around S$2,300; over 60% off regular fares.
To do so, one had to book through SQ’s Star Alliance partner, TAP Portugal’s website.
Travellers could also book a one-way flight for about half the price.
6) Roundtrip Singapore to Taipei on Cathay Pacific for S$241, get 4,999 bonus miles
Cathay Pacific ran a great 9.9 deal, where travellers can book roundtrip flights to Taipei for just S$241, and earn 4,999 bonus miles (worth S$80).
5) Roundtrip Singapore to Osaka on Peach Aviation for S$286
Peach Aviation has undercut all competing airlines for direct flights between Singapore and Japan with this offer, which I shared just a few days ago.
q00dles from Suitesmile Chat later shared that EU Holidays, a travel agent in Singapore, is offering an even better fare of S$299, with 20kg checked baggage included. This offer is only valid for limited dates in Jan and Feb 2025.
q00dles later shared that there’s also a SAFRA x EU Holidays offer, which brings the fare down to just S$288 (20kg checked baggage also included).
4) One-way Manila to Istanbul on Oman Air Business Class for S$617
I shared a Suitesmile-original error fare in Oct 2024, where travellers can fly from Manila to Istanbul for just S$617.
Suitesmile Chat members later found that one can book Manila to Dubai for just S$106!
Those who flew in the first 3-4 weeks of the post had no issues travelling, but those who booked on later dates eventually got their tickets cancelled and refunded.
3) Roundtrip Kuala Lumpur to Milan on Singapore Airlines Business Class for S$1,580
That Guy on Suitesmile Chat originally shared an SQ Premium Economy error fare: Roundtrip Kuala Lumpur to Paris for S$881; a superb deal, considering the 100% accrual on most frequent flyer programs.
That Guy later shared an even better error fare, this time in Business Class: Roundtrip Kuala Lumpur to Milan for S$1,580.
These error fares were fixed within a couple of hours. Congrats to those who acted fast!

2) Buy Hyatt points for 1.54 cents (USD)
World of Hyatt accidentally offered a 36% discount during this points sale in Feb 2024, giving travellers an amazing opportunity to save BIG at Hyatt sweet spots around the world.
This “deal” lasted for around 10 hours.
With this deal, one can stay in Story Hotel Studio Malmo for as little as S$73 per night. The cheapest room at this hotel usually goes for S$180 – S$300.
1) Qatar Airways Privilege Club 35% transfer bonus
This month-long deal gave Singapore-based travellers the incredible opportunity to fly Business Class to/from Europe and North America with just 46k – 56k credit card miles, on great airlines like Qatar Airways, Cathay Pacific and Finnair.
With this deal, a roundtrip Business Class flight booking to Europe was cheaper than what it costs to fly one-way, with KrisFlyer miles.
