How to access KrisFlyer Gold Lounge Changi Airport T3?
Star Alliance Gold members can access this lounge, when flying with a Star Alliance airline, regardless of class of travel. Eligible passengers can bring 1 non-eligible guest, who is travelling on the same flight.
As there are other much better lounges for Business and First Class passengers, guests in this lounge are mostly flying in Economy or Premium Economy Class.
I received the Gold status by matching my Qatar Airways Gold status (oneworld Sapphire) to United Premier Gold, through United’s status match program.
I visited this lounge before my EVA Air Business Class flight, from Singapore to Taipei. As a Business Class passenger travelling with a Star Alliance airline, I had access to the superior SilverKris lounge, but I just wanted to pop in to check out this Gold lounge.

KrisFlyer Gold Lounge Changi Airport T3
Getting there
The KrisFlyer Gold Lounge is located on the 3rd floor in Terminal 3, near other Singapore Airlines lounges like The Private Room, First Class and Business Class.
However, if you are coming from the immigration area, it’s easier to take the first escalator up to the Gold lounge.
Alternatively, look out for escalators near Longchamp and Luvenus and the beautiful batik wall.

General areas
The lounge is bright and airy, with a high ceiling and loads of natural light. Those are words that I’ve never used, when describing a Singapore Airlines lounge in Changi Airport!
The KrisFlyer Gold Lounge definitely has the best aura, among all Singapore Airlines lounges in the terminal. And ironically, this is the least special one.
Unfortunately though, due to the way the terminal is designed, it’s difficult to plane-watch from this lounge, as most of the outside view is blocked.
Shower
Guests can book a shower room in-person. Bathroom amenities are lacking, and bath products are unbranded.
Food & Drinks
Guests can enjoy unlimited food and drinks from the buffet. However, the food options are very limited and mostly carb-based.
To be honest, I don’t feel that they are any better than what’s offered in Priority Pass/Dragon Pass lounges in Changi Airport.
Crowded hours
The crowded hours are from 8pm till 12 midnight daily. This is due to the high volume of Singapore Airlines long-haul flights departing the terminal between 10pm and 2am.
During the crowded hours, you may face the following inconveniences in the lounge:
- Shortage of available seats (especially for 2+ pax)
- Delay in receiving cooked-to-order food
- Delay in buffet item replenishment
- Lengthy wait for shower rooms
- Excessive noise
Internet speed
The WiFi speed was only good enough for light web surfing.
Top complimentary amenities
- WiFi
- Drinks (incl. alcoholic)
- Hot food
- Showers
- Computers

Bottom line
If you can avoid the crowded hours, Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Gold Lounge in Changi Airport Terminal 3 is a calming place to be in, before your flight. However, the F&B options are passable; not poor, just average.
