Great Deal: Roundtrip Singapore to New Zealand and Pacific Islands on Fiji Airways from S$707

Fiji Airways is offering attractive promo Economy Class fares for flights from Singapore to New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.

While these flights require a layover in Nadi, Fiji, they are 2 to 3 times cheaper than what Air New Zealand and Singapore Airlines are charging for similar routes.

Destinations

These “Lite” fares include in-flight meals and carry-on baggage allowance.

Checked baggage allowance (30kg) is only included in “Value” fares and above. Roundtrip Value fares typically cost ~S$150 more than Lite.

Additional note: Although the promo page lists Christchurch (NZ) and Honiara (Solomon Islands) as eligible cities with the same promo fares, I’ve not been able to find any available dates at that price.

Lower fares on OTAs

Most Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) are showing even lower fares, for the same flights.

However, keep in mind that if you need to make any changes or cancellations to your booking, it can get more complicated, when dealing with OTAs, vs the airline itself.

For those promo flights, I am seeing fares of S$707 on gotogate.sg and S$727 on trip.com. Travellers may also include a 30kg checked baggage allowance on these OTAs, for a total of S$969 and S$857 respectively.

Dates

This offer officially ends on 26 June 2024, for travels from 5 June 2024 till 31 March 2025.

However, I am seeing these promo fares every month, up till April 2025, including Singapore’s June and December school holiday periods.

How to book?

Travellers can browse air fares easily through the calendar view on Google Flights, before completing the booking on the airline’s official website, or a preferred OTA.

Multi-city

Planning to visit more than 1 city? You can mix-and-match the promo cities, by making a multi-city booking, with an open-jaw.

Obviously, you’ll need to find your own flight (separate booking) between Port Vila and Auckland.

Free stopover in Fiji

Travellers can also extend their stopover in Nadi, Fiji for free, by constructing a multi-city itinerary.

Bottom line

These are great Economy Class fares for flights from Singapore to New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, especially when other airlines are charging 2-3 times more.

There seems to be limited seats per flight, that can be booked at these promo fares. So be sure to grab them fast, especially if you are planning to travel over the super-peak holiday periods.
