DEAL ENDED. Missed it? Follow us on Telegram, Instagram and Facebook for the latest updates.

Marriott is offering their eGiftCards at 20% off from today till 17 May 2020. The largest hotel chain in the world offered a similar deal early last year but that sale very limited and I only managed to get less than US$1,000 worth.

Gift Cards do not expire

The fact that these gift cards do not expire makes them very useful. And I enjoyed using them over the past year of living in hotels. I could even use them for hotel stays after a BRG claim!

Reach the hotel in advance

While I enjoyed the use of these gift cards throughout the past year, only one of many hotels that I stayed in in Asia knew how to use it. It was the amazing Four Points by Sheraton Bali, Seminyak. All others knew absolutely nothing when I mentioned it during check-in. Some of them even went as far as saying that “this gift card is not valid in our hotel”. Situations like these are always easily resolved once you request to speak with the manager.

For all the reasons above, I recommend getting in touch with the hotel way before your stay so that they have time to educate themselves on how to process the payment through your eGiftCard.

Conclusion

You know how it is in challenging times like these. We will never know what will happen to Marriott in the coming months. While this is a wonderful deal, have that in mind before you max out US$5,000 every single day!
