Unless if I have a serious travel restriction or large gathering with friends, I do not see the point of staycations. I mean, why splurge $400 a night for a hotel in Singapore when you can experience a different culture elsewhere for a similar price? A lot of these destinations have decent accommodation options for very cheap (<$70 a night).
