FAQ: What's the difference between Card Membership Year and Calendar Year?
Card Membership Year: Your lounge entitlement is valid from the time your card is approved, and renews every year on the card anniversary date.

Calendar Year: Your lounge entitlement is valid till 31 Dec, and renews on 1 Jan every year. It does not matter when the card is approved. For example, someone who applies for the HSBC TravelOne card on 1 Apr 2025, will have double the lounge entitlement on their first 12 months of holding the card — 4x from 1st Apr till 31 Dec 2025, +4x more from 1 Jan 2026.
