Best Credit Cards for Hotel Booking (Miles vs Cashback)

Best Credit Cards for Hotel Booking

Compare the best credit cards for hotel booking to earn maximum miles or cashback. Use these great cards when booking hotels in Singapore Dollars (SGD) or foreign currencies.

Warning: Some cards (like Citi PremierMiles and UOB PRVI) offer greater earn rates (up to 8 mpd) on hotel bookings made on selected websites. However, there’s a huge catch: those dedicated links often fetch much higher prices, and bonus miles may not be credited automatically (you’d likely need to call the bank to chase for them). Besides, they can’t beat the superb instant discounts (as high as 30%) that we’ve been seeing on Agoda and Expedia.

How are these cards chosen and ranked?
These cards are picked and ranked based on how they compare against other cards, based on these key factors:

1) Earn rates (miles/cashback)
2) Accessibility (min. income/age requirements)
3) Ease of use (min. spending, conditions to receive max. miles/cashback)
4) Miles/Points flexibility (expiry term, transfer partners)
5) Annual fee
6) Other additional benefits
